After you connect for the first time to your Jira site or your license has expired, you will see a message to license the app.

To license the product, the SharePoint site collection administrator must add an entitlement number for the product under the selected Jira site. This number is used to verify the license status of the product. Users without sufficient permissions are only capable to see the license status.

The entitlement number for the product can be found in your Jira site under Manage Apps.

Adding the entitlement number

  1. Edit the entitlement number field by clicking on the edit icon

  2. Enter the entitlement number for the Jira Site

  3. Click on save

    1. If no error occurred, you will see the entitlement number in the field and the current license status

    2. By clicking on the cross icon, you will cancel the saving

The license is bound to the Jira site where you installed the SharePoint Connector for Jira. This means you are able to use the product in every SharePoint tenant you desire but you can only connect that one Jira site.

If you want to use also other sites, you will have to buy a separate license.

Be aware that it could take some hours to update the license status for new purchased products. You are still able to add the license in the WebPart and we will revalidate your license status automatically from time to time.

After the validation succeeded you will be able to use the app. This configuration has to be done only once per Jira site. If other users add a new WebPart, they can directly use the licensed Jira sites and start to link Jira issues.
