This page provides an overview of the SharePoint Connector for Confluence and the components it interacts with. The app can be linked to a single instance of your SharePoint Online system.
All communication between Confluence and SharePoint is done by the client of the end user (i.e. browser). Direct communication between these two servers is not necessary.
To access the Microsoft Graph API, the SharePoint Connector must be registered as application in your Azure Active Directory.
