Java Compatibility Notice

Minimum Java Version: Java 17

Starting with this release, our app requires Java 17 as the minimum supported runtime environment. While Confluence 8.5 and later (below Confluence 9.x) technically supports both Java 11 and Java 17, Atlassian recommends using Java 17 for improved performance, security, and long-term compatibility. See Atlassian’s platform documentation and LTS release notes for more details.

If your Confluence instance is still running on Java 11, this app will not function correctly.

We strongly encourage all customers to upgrade their Java runtime to Java 17 or higher, in line with Atlassian’s own platform requirements. Confluence 9.0 and later versions require Java 17 as a baseline, and Java 11 is no longer supported by Atlassian for these versions.
